Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced that a new site was opening at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead, along with one at St. Peter’s of Alcantara in Port Washington.
In Port Washington, the site will be outfitted to vaccinate approximately 600 residents, while the Hempstead site will have the capacity to administer upwards of 300 doses.
Curran said that the new sites come as part of the county’s outreach effort to ensure equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to minorities.
